Our story
A love for Zahara turned into a project.
Zahara de la Sierra came into our lives years ago and, as happens with certain places, every visit left us wanting to return even more. Over time, we began to see the village differently: not only as a destination for a short escape, but as a place where it was worth creating something genuinely well made, peaceful and truly cared for.
In 2025, we found an apartment on Calle Olvera with enormous potential. It needed a full renovation, but it had exactly what we were looking for: wonderful light, high ceilings and a privileged location within the village. In 2026, we completely refurbished it, making every decision with one very simple idea in mind: to create a place where we ourselves would love to stay.
That is how Luz de Zahara was born. We did not want to create a showy place full of empty promises, but a comfortable, serene and honest apartment, designed so that everyone who stays here can enjoy Zahara at a slower pace, with lovely views and the feeling of having chosen somewhere genuinely cared for.

The apartment is located at one of the main entrances to Zahara de la Sierra, on Calle Olvera, with direct views over the reservoir and just a 2-minute walk from the centre of the village. Its location allows you to enjoy a peaceful stay while still being very close to the atmosphere, local amenities and some of the area’s main attractions.
Right next to the apartment is, in our view, one of the best places to eat in Zahara de la Sierra, El Mesón Oñate. If you would like to secure a table on its terrace, with excellent views and very attentive service, we recommend booking in advance. Their huevos a la flamenca are especially well known.
